Reports to: Head of Sourcing Europe
About the role
We are looking for an experienced Sourcing Manager to join L, a dynamic, global scale-up. In this role, you will be part of the European sourcing team and the wider global sourcing community. You will be responsible for end-to-end product development and sourcing, from initial concept through to production, working closely with internal stakeholders and external manufacturing partners across Europe and selected Asian markets.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end sourcing and product development projects across categories such as print, ceramics, glassware, home textiles, seasonal gifts & premiums, and home & kitchen accessories.
- Collaborate closely with sales, quality, supply chain, product development and consumer insights teams to deliver best-in-class products for international markets.
- Develop products together with manufacturing partners, ensuring technical feasibility, quality, creativity and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage and further develop long-term supplier partnerships, while actively scouting and onboarding new suppliers within relevant categories.
- Translate consumer insights and global trends into innovative product concepts with a strong consumer-first mindset.
- Travel internationally (approximately once per month) to supplier locations, including Europe and Asia, to build strong relationships and oversee production.
Required
- 5+ years of experience in sourcing or procurement, preferably in finished consumer goods (non-food, toys, entertainment-related or home categories).
- A solid understanding of how products are technically manufactured; a technical background is a strong advantage.
- Experience working with retailers, trading companies or multinational environments.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance creativity, quality and cost.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Additional language skills such as Spanish, French or Eastern European languages.
